Pokémon HeartGold and Pokémon SoulSilver will be making an English-language debut in Spring 2010 in America, sadly no news of an official UK release date just yet. The games update the original Game Boy adventures that were released nearly a decade ago where players got to explore the scenic Johto region. This time out, all the visuals have been given the Nintendo DS makeover, making the beautifully detailed locations really come to life. With updated sound and of course touch-screen features now included too, along with a bunch of surprises that Nintendo is keeping to itself right now, we’re all in for some brilliant gameplay action!
“Announcing these much-anticipated game launches at The Pokémon World Championships allows us to give the news directly to the legions of fans who represent the true heart and soul of Pokémon,” said J.C. Smith, The Pokémon Company International’s director of marketing, who made the announcement on stage to kick off the 2009 Pokémon World Championships. “We want to thank these loyal fans by revealing the details to them first.”
Look forward to bringing some of the most beloved Pokémon characters back in to action again next year – Pokémon fans are going to love both releases!
I cannot wait until I get to buy these 2 games. I will then be able to make my friends feel like nothing for once.

Uh, does anybody actually know if we’ll be getting the pokewalker over here? It wouldn’t entirely be surprising if it was exclusive to the japanese bersion.

We can expect the games by May 2010 – likely they’ll follow the same pattern as previous Pokemon Games, being Japan in September, America in March and May for Europe.

i can’t wait for these new games to come out i already have platinum,diamond and pearl but have never played the game boy advance versions of gold and silver i am so glad they are making a remake the one thing i am cross about is i fell fine about japan getting the game before the uk because they just love pokemon over there but what really makes me angry is HOW COME AMERICA GET IT BEFORE US i mean that is just not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The game looks amazing!! The Johto region is my favourite region, it’sa great place. Only problem is, I love all 3 starters so I can’t decide between them =]

Eeeek! I’m so hyped! I can’t wait till this comes out! I’ve always wanted to play a game where the pokemon can walk with you ^^ Which gets me thinking. Why don’t nintendo make a pokemon game where all the pokemon can be seen approaching you in patches of grass and in water. They could just use the battle styles of mystery dungeon. Oooh and personalization to the trainer :O Ahh that’d be soo awesome ^^ I hopes they do something like that one day. Sorreh I ish a real chatter box :L

Ummm, if you read pokemon.com properly…it actually said that Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver will be coming to both America AND Europe in Spring 2010, so we DO have a official release period for the UK as it is in europe.
Make an Arceus walk wit u and you will unlock a hidden place called the “Shinto Iseki” or Shinto ruins. u will then meet Cynthia and u will have an opportunity 2 make Dialga, Palkia or Giratina!!
P.S. The Pokes r at lv 1 though!
